Live Fashion Illustration
The Art of the Moment
Over the years, I’ve been invited to bring live fashion illustration to a variety of luxury retail events hosted by global brands such as Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Mango, and Laura Mercier—all held in their flagship showrooms across Bangkok, Thailand.
Each activation was designed to surprise and delight VIP guests with personalized artwork—a luxurious, handcrafted takeaway that elevated the in-store experience and strengthened customer relationships.
Luxury brands are all about detail, timing, and elegance. Each event had a unique theme or product focus, and I needed to work fast without compromising on quality. Whether drawing with ink, watercolor, acrylic, or iPad, I delivered quick-turnaround sketches that matched each brand’s tone and left customers glowing.
The work demanded precision under pressure. I moved between mediums as each brand required—watercolor and ink for one event, acrylic for another, iPad for a third, even makeup as a drawing tool when the moment called for it. For Tiffany & Co., I created digital portraits that captured the luminescence of their jewelry against skin. For Louis Vuitton, flowing sketches and painted florals adorned fans and cards. Fendi and Bottega Veneta received fashion illustrations that celebrated how their designs moved on real bodies. Mango and Kate Spade got acrylic paintings applied directly to products and souvenirs. Laura Mercier's event featured portraits sketched with their own cosmetics as the medium.
Each event became a hit—guests were thrilled to receive their own personalized keepsake, often asking for portraits that included family members, pets, or partners. I was able to complete a high volume of sketches per event without losing quality, helping each brand impress their VIP clients in a truly memorable way.
Some illustrations were later shared on brand social channels, and many attendees posted their gifts on social media, naturally expanding the event’s reach.
I love the energy of live illustration—the rhythm of drawing to music, the quick conversations, the smiles when guests see their sketch for the first time. It’s a beautiful blend of pressure and joy. These moments remind me that art doesn’t always have to be in a gallery—it can live in a customer’s hand, as part of a magical memory they’ll keep forever.
