Surface Design

Packaging, wallpaper, and ceramic surfaces for Thai brands across food, wellness, and lifestyle

Where Illustration Meets Everyday Ritual

From premium supplement packaging to restaurant wallpaper and collectible cookie tins, I’ve worked with a diverse group of Thai brands to bring their product and space visuals to life—infused with my signature elegant botanical style.

These projects spanned across food, wellness, interior, and lifestyle sectors, with each brand seeking unique, hand-crafted illustration to enrich their seasonal launches and customer experience.

Surface design may seem simple, but it’s anything but. These projects had tight timelines, strict visual guidelines, and unique production constraints—from working with ceramic glazes to large-scale wallpaper placement. My job was to balance aesthetic beauty with practical application across a wide range of formats.

Each brand provided moodboards and visual direction, which helped guide the design process. I used gouache on paper for the Pitch Beer label and Procreate for all other digital artworks.

S&P (cookie boxes)– My long-term favorite. Their art direction is always sharp, and their detailed seasonal cookie packaging allowed me to lean into realistic botanical art. These pieces were distributed in branches across Thailand.

Jaan R Harn (ceramic plates) – My first tableware project. I was their debut artist, and they gave me full creative freedom. I imagined a dream set of porcelain plates with rabbits running through floral gardens, combining elegance with storytelling.

Zaab Eli (wallpaper mural) – A restaurant in Bangkok serving Esaan cuisine. I created a large-scale mural wallpaper that honored Northern Thai food culture, using ingredient illustrations woven together in a soft, elegant composition.

Thongyoy & Manee (packaging)– Both brands embraced Thai folk art influences, one for a café and the other for scent products. My designs blended vibrant details with cultural motifs.

Botera (supplements) – Targeted at high-income women, this packaging required a luxurious, feminine feel, delivered through delicate floral design and soft palettes.

Pitch (beer label) – A fun, gouache-painted artwork capturing the flow and dynamism of drinking. The vibrant colors reflected the cheerfulness of the product itself.

My illustrations were featured on packaging, restaurant interiors, ceramic dinnerware, and retail displays. I’ve personally visited stores to see my work on shelves and even dined at Zaab Eli surrounded by my own illustrated wallpaper.

Compared to fashion, surface design feels more accessible—it brings art into the homes, hands, and rituals of everyday people. I’ll always have a soft spot for fashion illustration, but there’s something special about knowing a customer is enjoying cookies from a tin I painted or serving food on a plate I designed.

My favorite? The S&P cookie tins—they pushed my technical skills and time management, yet I always felt creatively fulfilled.
